Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Value Score?

The Value Score is a 0-100 estimate of how good a listing is, based on how much it is discounted from its estimated value, the seller's rating, the item's rarity, how recently it was listed, and its condition. Higher scores indicate a better potential deal.

What is Estimated Value?

Estimated Value is an approximate market value for the toy in the listed condition. It is used as a baseline to calculate savings and the Value Score. It is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of resale price.

What do the Condition labels mean?

Condition reflects the physical state of the item: New, Sealed, Open Box, Used, Loose (no packaging), Missing Parts, or For Parts (not fully functional). Worse conditions lower the Value Score.

What does Rarity mean?

Rarity ranges from Common to Grail, reflecting how hard an item is to find. Rarer items receive a small bonus to their Value Score, since scarcity can increase long-term value.

What does the Deal Rating mean?

Deal Rating translates the Value Score into a quick label: Excellent Deal, Good Deal, Fair, Overpriced, or Risky. Use it as a starting point, not a final answer — always check the listing details yourself.

Where do these deals come from?

Right now, some content on this site is seed/sample data used for development and demonstration — not live marketplace results. As real content is added, it's sourced from online marketplaces and curated for shoppers here.

How often are prices updated?

Once live listings are in place, prices refresh automatically roughly once an hour. Right now the site is running on sample data for demonstration, so prices only change when the site itself is updated.

Why is a toy missing?

Super Toy Deals is an early-stage project and doesn't yet cover every toy or marketplace. A missing item usually means it isn't in the current dataset yet, or it has been filtered out by your current search or filter settings.

Why shouldn't I buy the cheapest toy?

The lowest price isn't always the best deal — it may reflect poor condition, a low-rated seller, or a listing with hidden downsides. That is why we calculate a Value Score for each listing, weighing price against condition, seller rating, rarity, and how recently it was listed, so you can compare deals rather than just prices.

Do prices include shipping and taxes?

No. The price shown is the listed item price from the marketplace and typically does not include shipping or taxes. Always check the total cost, including shipping and tax, on the marketplace before buying.

Are these affiliate links?

Yes. Some links on Super Toy Deals are Amazon Associates affiliate links or other marketplace affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, Super Toy Deals may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Is Super Toy Deals a store?

No. Super Toy Deals is not a store or retailer — it doesn't sell items, handle payments, or ship anything. It is a curated discovery and research tool that links out to marketplaces where you can complete a purchase.

How can I report a bad listing?

A listing issue reporting option may be added in a future update.
